Well guys, I have made a mistake. I didn’t do my research and it bit me in the bottom. I was in the market for an optic mount that would do the job of holding my optic in such a way that I would not have to sacrifice the use of my flip sights if it goes out. And I was happy to find exactly that in the Burris AR 30mm Detachable scope mount. However, what I didn’t know was that I was buying it from Cheaper Than Dirt.
Over the past year, since COVID hit, Cheaper Than Dirt has been the topic of a lot of controversy, and this isn’t the first time it’s been under fire for the same thing. Back in 2012 the company was targeted by gun buyers all over and pinned as a company that does not give loyalty back to its customers. The “cheaper than dirt” facade they like to hide behind is only good until the going gets rough. And when the going gets rough, Cheaper than Dirt gets going. While I do love the mount, I know that I could have gotten it for a much better price.
I highly recommend this mount though. It is light yet durable, and it hasn’t loosened up on me since I got it. The rail fit nicely onto my AR build so I don’t think you guys should have any trouble getting on if you have an AR as well. Its a great product, but at this point in time, you might want to try and get it elsewhere to get a much better price.
